To provide a commercially available allograft, safety and stability must be ensured through tissue processing. Some processing methods inherently alter the tissue composition by compromising or eliminating key biological components. Amniox Medical’s processing methods were specifically designed to optimize the preservation while also providing efficiencies in handling, storage, and product application.
Amniox’s proprietary flagship CRYOTEK process utilizes freezing to preserve the functional and structural integrity of the tissues while maintaining their natural hydrated state. Other forms of processing that require dehydration of the matrix have been shown to degrade the critical biological, and may limit the tissue’s capabilities.
The clinical success of the CRYOTEK process has been demonstrated in numerous peer-reviewed publications and over 300,000 human transplants. By devitalizing the resident living cells CRYOTEK minimizes the risk of an immune reaction and preserves the functional components of the extracellular matrix.
Our patented SteriTek preservation process, used with Neox RT, yields a shelf-stable product without dehydration of the tissue. The tissue is cleaned, processed and packaged in a manner similar to the CRYOTEK cryopreservation process, but has saline as its storage medium. It is then terminally sterilized using gamma irradiation, yielding a fully hydrated product that can be stored in controlled room temperature.

Each surgeon must evaluate the appropriateness of the techniques based on his or her own medical training and expertise. Many variables including patient pathology, anatomy, and surgical techniques may influence procedural outcomes. While these clinical experiences are valid, the results are not necessarily typical, indicative or representative of all procedures in which TissueTech’s products are utilized. TissueTech’s product line has been used successfully in many patients by physicians of varying specialties during a variety of medical procedures, and complications, reactions, and/or adverse events are possible with any medical intervention.
